In the 2019-2020 season, the New Dawn Suns boys' basketball team had one of the most exciting seasons on record with 9 wins and the team was entered into the PSAL - Basketball Play Offs. 

This year, Coaches Rudy Asher and Beranda Felder have brought a new vibe to our team, and the stats don't lie! We have watched our players and student coaches excel not only on the court, but also academically. The love of the game and the sport are the two driving forces that bring our coaches to the table. The opportunity to work with such experienced Coaches as Mr. Asher and Ms. Felder has given the New Dawn Suns team ways to learn new skills on the court, work-outs that put their physical limits to the test, and it has paid off in dividends. 

Another first for this team, was the opportunity to participate in Urban Dove Team High School's MLK Tournament, coordinated by Coach Felder. New Dawn Suns arrived ready for a win, and succeeded, in addition two players were named MVPs with the most points #11 - Jaiquan Ruffin and #13 - Tyrik Sparks.

 On January 31, 2020, at 5:30 p.m., New Dawn Suns will play their first game in the PSAL Play-Offs against Brooklyn Frontiers at the Farragut Cornerstone Community Center. We hope to see you there!
